We combine compassionate service with modern medical expertise to close gaps in child healthcare — so families can find specialist paediatric care, diagnostics and essential medicines in one place.
Why we exist
Shortening the journey to care
Too many children in our community reach a clinic late — after a family has travelled between several places looking for a doctor, a test and then a pharmacy. Each of those journeys costs time and money, and for a sick child, time matters.
Mercy Children's Hospital was built to shorten that journey. Consultation, laboratory and pharmacy sit in the same building, staffed by people who work with children every day.
Where a family genuinely cannot pay, the DellaCare Foundation steps in. No child is turned away for lack of money.

Compassion first
A frightened child and a worried parent need reassurance as much as treatment. We take the time to explain, and we never rush a family out of the room.
Clinical excellence
Careful assessment, evidence-based treatment and honest answers — including when the honest answer is that a child needs to be seen elsewhere.
Affordable access
Cost should not decide whether a child gets care. Our Foundation exists precisely so that it does not.

Spaces, staff and processes designed around how children actually experience a hospital visit.
Our team
People who work with children every day
Paediatric care is a different discipline, not a smaller version of adult medicine. Doses, warning signs and the way a child describes pain are all different — and so is the way a family needs to be spoken to.
Our clinicians, laboratory staff and pharmacists all work to the same standard: assess carefully, explain clearly, and make the next step obvious for the parent or caregiver.
